Rise and shine, it’s time to set out on a typical day of our small group tour to Ireland.

First off, your Wild West Irish Tour can’t begin without a proper Irish breakfast. You traipse into the dining room of the sunny, rustic B&B with Benbulben towering in the background. You settle in for coffee or tea, juice of varying flavors, toast, eggs, sausage or bacon, oatmeal, and fruit. The kindly woman who serves your food will also insist you eat a big helping. You’ll need the energy to keep up with all the activity today.

Spend some time surveying the glorious horizon. Hike as much as you like. Grab an ice cream or hot chocolate from the little cart at the foot of the cliffs – rain or shine, it’s usually there, and it’s a nice way to celebrate the peak of the journey thus far!

Some jaunty Irish music and a quick coast to a nearby café for lunch and then it’s a roam about the town. Our small group tours offer you the flexability to explore. See if you can’t pick up a few souvenirs, learn some fun trivia, and explore on your own. There’ll be an old church or two to see; possibly an abbey – not to mention trinket shops, book shops, and more. You might even hear some music on the streets, though the real entertainment comes later.

A dinner at a fine pub or restaurant starts to wind down the day – but the grand finale is saved for the evening wherein everyone gathers in the living room of the B&B for an Irish dance. Laura, and sometimes her sister Sandra, perform traditional Irish Sean-nós dancing for the Wild West Irish Tours visitors. It’s a spectacular feat of flying feet and pounding fife & drum, often highlighted by hilarious stories told as only the girls can tell them.

Settle in after that with a cuppa and reflect on the day. It’s up and at’em come the morning. Given how packed a day can be on our small group tours, it’s always nice to get some shut-eye and dream of what’s to come!

These are just some of the possibilities of a day in the Wild West of Ireland – come away with us to discover your own day and how you can make it memorable.

Until next time, be well!
