Watch us on Virginia this Morning as we share details about our small group tours to Ireland and a few stories of what it’s like to travel with us.
The Healing Beauty Of Ireland's Wild West
Boomer Magazine’s exclusive look at our tours “People come alive when they’re on these trips with Michael and Trish. They find their private sanctuaries and tranquility, but they also find youth and friendship and a great deal many other positive elements. They see also that there isn’t simply a wall between man and nature, but a veil—a veil that can be brushed aside if one has the insight to do so.”
Featured in Richmond Times-Dispatch
The Richmond Times-Dispatch wrote an article about the owners of Wild West Irish Tours, Trish O’Donnell-Jenkins and Michael Regan Waugh on the unique approach Wild West Irish Tours has to experience Ireland.
“Ours is not a kiss-the-Blarney-Stone tour. We let Ireland be Ireland. We take you to meet people we know — dancers, singers, storytellers,” he said. “They perform for us and the people we bring along with us.”
Style Weekly Features Wild West Irish Tours
“We are very proud that two of Virginia’s finest publications featured Wild West Irish Tours during the “St. Patrick’s Day season.”
Style Weekly did a piece on the co-owner of Wild West Irish Tours, Michael Regan-Waugh. The story includes how poet W.B. Yeats and a random kindness by a local poet in the west of Ireland, influenced and help create a very unique tour experience.

The Clare Champion interviewed Michael about the history of Wild West Irish Tours, his Irish heritage, and his plans for the future as tours expand into County Clare.
“It’s almost a watershed event for me to be officially starting tours in Clare where my grandmother came from. What we want to do eventually is have our whole tour in Clare but this year we’re going to have more than half of the tour in Clare.

Wild West Irish Tours featured by Top Blog in Ireland!
Wild West Irish Tours enjoyed the company of one of Ireland’s best-known Photo-Bloggers, Val Robus, also known as “Magnumlady.”
On four occasions, Magnumlady did a “ride along” with Wild West Irish Tours during our adventures in the Wild West of Ireland. Together we explored the mystical Carrowmore Tombs with Myths & Legends author, Michael Roberts.
The Irish Blogger also joined us for trips out to the incredible Innismurray Island, a boat ride on the Rose of Innisfree and an adventure exploring a mysterious ancient beach on this perilous rocky coast. Our thanks to Val for her beautiful photos.

The Irish Independent, which has the highest circulation for a daily newspaper in Ireland, published a story about Wild West Irish Tours recently in their Weekend Review section. The article, written by Irish journalist Caitriona Palmer, was a feature for “The Gathering 2013.” The story tells of an Irish-American family, the Galligans, going back “home” to Ireland during the year of the Gathering, with Wild West Irish Tours.
