When my husband and I signed up for The Causeway Coast Tour with Wild West Irish Tours we imagined there was NO way it could match the amazing time we had on our first tour. Happily we were wrong! We stayed in a B&B that is a sheep farm with a view of the sea from our bedroom window. It was dreamlike, waking up to the sounds and smells of the sea while also hearing the sheep. Our hosts were warm and friendly. They had the cosiest sitting room where we could gather near a fireplace for tea, to chat or knit.

Since we were in Ireland in June, daylight lingered well into the nighttime so we took nightly walks to the ocean. We were taken to places of astounding beauty, like the Giants Causeway and Malin Head! Our tour guides love for their homeland was palpable and contagious. My favorite part of the trip was when we spent time with the locals. We met a woman who creates sculptures from petrified bog wood thousands of years old and a talented woman who sews lovely clothing from woven Donegal tweed and then embellishes them by hand with Irish wool.

I am excited to say I’ll be going back in 2020 for another WWIT! I recommend this wonderful group of folks to anyone who wants to be immersed in the beauty and culture of Ireland!
